NECTA CSEE Form Four perfomance report: Top 10 Students and Best Perfomed Schools

The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (Necta) has released the 2017 Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (CSEE) results showing that performance has improved by seven per cent compared to the year before.
Best students (Top 10).
1. Felison J Mde – Marian Boys (Pwani)
2. Elizabeth Mangu – Marian Girls (Pwani)

A total of 287,713 (77.09 per cent) out of 385,767 students who sat for Form Four National Examinations last year passed, the National Council of Examinations of Tanzania (NECTA) has announced today,Comparing to the previous year, 2016, in which 277,283 (70.09 per cent) students passed, the council data indicates that the performance has improved by approximately seven per cent.

Yes, with committed and motivated teachers, Schooling can be fun. Kids will always have a reason to come back to school, and be there until the end. It is only unfortunate that many of our schools- public and private, do not interest kids for lack of fun. They are increasingly becoming too academic (bookish).

Mbeya Regional Commissioner Abbas KandoroMbeya Regional Commissioner Abbas Kandoro has ordered that girl students who will become pregnant should also be arrested and charged in a court of law.

Kandoro issued the order when he visited Bujomde Secondary School in Kyela district to launch three science laboratories constructed at the school with funds from the Tanzania Social Action Fund and people's contributions.The order wa prompted by the RC's dismay upon hearing a report from the school's headmaster that the school was facing a big problem of students dropping out of school due to pregnancy.
